Out Run is a musical project that seamlessly blends the nostalgic allure of the '80s with a contemporary edge. Born in Florence in 2022, the project emerged from the shared passion of singer-songwriter Ginevra Abbarchini and multi-instrumentalist Lawrence Fancelli for electronic music and synthwave. Joined by Niccolò Messeri, who collaborates on select tracks, Out Run crafts a sonic journey that is as immersive as it is unique.
The name "Out Run" pays homage to the iconic video game, reflecting a retro-futuristic aesthetic that has become the project’s signature. With atmospheric and emotionally charged tracks like their hit single "Monster"—which surpassed one million streams in under a year—Out Run has captured the hearts of a growing audience. Their sound draws inspiration from artists like Chromatics, College, Cocteau Twins, and Battato, creating a captivating fusion of synthwave and electropop with dreamy melodies and cinematic soundscapes.
